| Nitrile Green
(NBR– Acrylonitrile – butadiene rubber) like neoprene, was
original developed as a synthetic substitute for natural latex. Upon testing, it was
discovered that nitrile was capable of resisting oil-based solvents and petroleum
products. Natural latex does not resist these chemicals. In addition to offering excellent
protection from solvents and petroleum, nitrile also resists animal fats (especially red
meat processing) , caustics and acids.
The benefits of nitrile exceed it ability to resist certain chemicals.
Nitrile is also cut, abrasion, and puncture resistant. These additional properties make
nitrile even more desirable for a broad range applications. |
